Consulting Services

I am available to provide a variety of consulting services for your organization. Below is a list of some of those services. Please contact me with any questions you may have about these services.

Clinical Supervision

I am available to provide clinical supervision (individual or group based) for your agency's clinical staff. I incorporate training around cultural and social awareness, trauma and how it presents individually, within the family and the community; self care and managing compassion fatigue; how to complete assessments, treatment plans and progress notes particularly to meet compliance with Medi-cal standards; and how to navigate the specific demands of working within community mental health.

Additionally, with my extensive experience in working with currently and formally incarcerated individuals, I am uniquely qualified to train associates around the specific needs of this population and how to work with incarceration trauma as it presents with the individual as well as their families.

Training

I am available to provide training for community based organizations. Trainings can be tailored to the needs of the agency and can be for a few hours, half a day or full day workshops. Topics I have provided trainings on include Trauma Informed Care, Vicarious Trauma, Self Care, Inter-generational and Historical Trauma, Substance Use/Abuse, Working clinically with incarcerated populations, Trauma and Attachment, etc.

Group Facilitation

I am available to facilitate groups for an organization's clients on issues specific to client needs. Group sessions can be one time for a few hours, or over the course of a cycle which covers a number of weeks. Some of the groups I have facilitated have addressed community violence, substance use/addiction, healthy communication skills, relationship violence, trauma, anger management, and impacts of incarceration.

Curriculum Development

I can develop culturally and socially aware curriculum for community based organizations to utilize in facilitating groups around issues of trauma, navigating institutional racism, substance use/dependence, and other issues specifically related to the needs of clients. Staff and/or peer educators can then be trained on utilizing the curricula in working with clients of the organization.

Mental Health Assessments

I have created a comprehensive mental health assessment geared towards identifying areas of challenge and making recommendations for appropriate resources and services for men and women returning to the community after incarceration. I am available to conduct these assessments for community based organizations that work with currently and formerly incarcerated adults. Community based agencies have found these comprehensive reports invaluable to the provision of quality case management services.
